Tasting Notes:
Located in the premium terroir of Gezi Shan (Pigeon Mountain) core zone in the Eastern Foothill of Helan Mountain, this wine is crafted from over 20-year-old mature Cabernet Gernischt vines and refined via meticulous oak barrel aging, presenting a distinctive gentle and elegant Chinese varietal style. The wine opens with rich and concentrated dark fruit aromas, with ripe black cherry, dark plum and blackcurrant flavours taking the lead, layered with delicate rose floral hints and unique oriental herbal and licorice undertones typical of Cabernet Gernischt. Subtle integrated notes of vanilla and soft toasted oak emerge gracefully, building a sophisticated, well-structured and multi-dimensional aromatic bouquet. The palate is round, full and well-balanced, with ultra-fine, silky and supple tannins and mild, harmonious acidity. Juicy fruit flavours, elegant floral hints and subtle oak nuances blend seamlessly on the palate, delivering a smooth, approachable and lingering finish, fully embodying the refined terroir characteristics and ingenuity of Ningxia old-vine winemaking.
