Marselan represents a "rising star" in China's wine industry. With large clusters and small berries, it offers intense flavors, ample tannins, and wines that combine the ripe fruit aromas of Grenache (such as plum and prune) with the minty notes of Cabernet Sauvignon, resulting in a full-bodied wine with a long finish. Introduced from France to Huailai, Hebei, in 2001, it quickly adapted to China's arid and semi-arid climates, becoming a premium red wine grape. Widely planted in the eastern foothills of Helan Mountain in Ningxia，Taigu, Shanxi and Yanqi Basin, Xinjiang.
